Bing Adds Links Report, Google Ranking Update & Yahoo Dying Slowly

www.SERoundtable.com – This week at the Search Engine Roundtable, we covered that Bing added the links reports back to Bing Webmaster Tools. There may be a small ranking update happening at Google. Google reaffirmed that the Google Toolbar PageRank data is not worth looking at. Google now shows doorway pages alerts and warnings in Google Webmaster Tools. Google News has slowed the time it takes to get approved for the remainder of the year. Google is looking to do contextual discovery. Google got some bad anti-competitive PR this week in the Wall Street Journal. Yahoo is killing off some of our beloved online properties, like AltaVista, Delicious and hampering others like Flickr. Google has a bug with blocking Google Video Bot. Google Reading Level filter was designed kind of by teachers. That was this past week at the Search Engine Roundtable.
