Milligan explained that Healthcare Trust, a medical office building specialist, focuses on 20 to 25 gateway markets where the company expects to see growth in the next 10 to 20 years.

National Storage Affiliates recently closed on the $ 650 million joint venture acquisition of iStorage. Nordhagen said the company has about another 30 assets under contract, or recently closed, bringing the year-end acquisitions total to about $ 1.3 billion.

More Acquisitions to Come at Retail REIT ROIC, CEO Says

Stuart Tanz, president and CEO of Retail Opportunity Investments Corp. (NASDAQ: ROIC), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview at REITWorld 2015: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the Wynn Las Vegas.

ROIC booked $ 310 million in acquisitions of grocery-based shopping centers during the first nine months of 2015. Tanz noted that the pace in 2015 matched that of the last several years.  “Going forward, I think we’ll be able to continue that pace at probably around the same pace or a bit more,” he said.

Monmouth CEO Says Pace of Acquisitions by REIT Will Continue

Michael Landy, president and CEO of Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corp. (NYSE: MNR), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview during REITWeek 2015: NAREIT’s Investor Forum, held in New York.

Monmouth currently has an acquisition pipeline of 2.3 million square feet in place, representing $ 250 million in class-A industrial space. By the end of the 2015 fiscal year on Sept. 30, Monmouth will have increased its gross leasable area by 30 percent. Landy said the company is also anticipating double-digit growth in 2016.
