Raymond Lewis, CEO of Care Capital Properties (NYSE: CCP), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview at REITWorld 2016: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge.

Care Capital invests with local and regional operators of skilled nursing facilities across the United States. The company spun off from Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) in 2015.

Fifteen months on from the spinoff, Lewis said the company is “exactly where we hoped we would be at this point.”

Health Care REIT NHI Finding Value in Midwest

Eric Mendelsohn, president and CEO of National Health Investors (NYSE: NHI), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview at REITWeek 2016: NAREIT’s Investor Forum at the Waldorf Astoria New York.

NHI’s portfolio includes independent, assisted and memory care communities, skilled nursing facilities, medical office buildings and specialty hospitals.

Mendelsohn described the senior housing cycle as “bifurcated.” Investors appear to be avoiding skilled nursing, he said, so cap rates are rising quickly in response.

Health Care REIT HCP Highlights Diversity of Repositioned Company

Justin Hutchens, chief investment officer at HCP, Inc. (NYSE: HCP), joined REIT.com for a video interview at REITWeek 2016: NAREIT’s Investor Forum at the Waldorf Astoria New York.

Earlier this year, HCP announced it would spin off its ManorCare portfolio of skilled nursing and assisted living assets into an independent, publicly traded REIT. Hutchens said the decision was made following a number of years of efforts to try to reposition the portfolio.
