Veteran REIT Observer Sees Continued Growth for Industry

Ken Campbell, co-founder of CBRE Clarion Securities, joined for a video interview at REITWeek 2016: NAREIT’s Investor Forum at the Waldorf Astoria New York.

Campbell, a long-time REIT industry observer, founded the first REIT-dedicated publication, Realty Trust Review, in 1970.

According to Campbell, the REIT industry still has plenty of room to grow.


Professor Sees Continued Flow of Funds to Real Estate

Cydney Donnell, director of real estate programs at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School, joined for a video interview at REITWorld 2015: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the Wynn Las Vegas.

Donnell shared her views on the state of the real estate cycle.

“I don’t really worry about it too much because I don’t think that’s the question,” Donnell said. Rather, Donnell stressed that a 35-year “supercycle” in the bond market supported by declining interest rates has fueled a surge of money flowing into real estate.
