CareTrust REIT Growing Since Spin Off

Greg Stapley, president and CEO of CareTrust REIT (NYSE: CTRE), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview at REITWeek 2016: NAREIT’s Investor Forum at the Waldorf Astoria New York.

CareTrust was formed two years ago when it spun off from The Ensign Group. The REIT operates 144 net-leased health care properties and three senior housing properties across 18 states.

Stapley discussed the evolution of CareTrust since its formation.

OUTFRONT Media Tapping Into Growing Advertising Market

Chances are, if you’ve been stuck in traffic or waited for a bus or subway train lately, your eye has been drawn to an advertising display created by OUTFRONT Media Inc. (NYSE: OUT).

Formerly known as CBS Outdoor Americas Inc., OUTFRONT began operating as a REIT in July 2014 following its spin-off from CBS Corp. Today, its portfolio includes approximately 57,000 billboard faces and 316,000 transit displays across the United States. Around 70 percent of the company’s revenues are derived from billboards, and 30 percent come from transit.

In August, American Campus celebrated its 100th student housing development with the construction of U Club Sunnyside, an off-campus community serving students attending West Virginia University (WVU). Bayless said the event had special significance for him because he graduated from WVU.
