COPT CEO Sees Strong Fundamentals in Core Office Markets

Roger Waesche, Jr., president and CEO of Corporate Office Properties Trust (NYSE: OFC), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview at REITWorld 2015: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the Wynn Las Vegas.

COPT primarily focuses on U.S. government tenants in the defense and information technology sectors. Waesche commented that pricing remains very strong for office product in the firm’s core markets as a result of solid fundamentals and strength in the capital markets.

Duke Realty Sees Solid Fundamentals in Industrial, Medical Office Portfolios

Denny Oklak, chairman and CEO of Duke Realty Corp. (NYSE: DRE), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview during REITWeek 2015: NAREIT’s Investor Forum, held in New York.

With bulk distribution facilities now making up more than 70 percent of Duke’s portfolio, Oklak provided an overview of industrial market fundamentals.

“The industrial business is really very good at this time,” he said. Oklak noted that Duke’s in-service occupancy rates within its bulk industrial portfolios are at almost 97 percent.

Office REIT Highwoods Enjoying Steady Growth

Ed Fritsch, president and CEO of Highwoods Properties Inc. (NYSE: HIW), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview during REITWeek 2015: NAREIT’s Investor Forum, held in New York.

Fritsch, who’s currently serving as NAREIT’s second vice chair, said fundamentals in Highwoods’ geographic markets are strong, although he pointed out that growth is measured. He described the market absorption of office space as “steady.”
