Mall REIT Founder and Industry Pioneer A. Alfred Taubman Dies at 91

A. Alfred Taubman, the founder of Taubman Centers, Inc. (NYSE: TCO) who is widely credited with inventing the concept of the indoor shopping mall, died of a heart attack in his home in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., on April 18. He was 91.

Eugene Landy, founder and chairman of Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corp. (NYSE: MNR) and UMH Properties, Inc. (NYSE: UMH), has been named by Yale Law School as the 2014 recipient of the Simeon Baldwin award, which recognizes distinguished achievement in law and business.
