Ray Lewis, CEO of Care Capital Properties, Inc. (NYSE: CCP), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview at REITWorld 2015: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the Wynn Las Vegas.
Care Capital was spun off from Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) in mid-2015 as a pure-play REIT focused on the skilled nursing facility market. Lewis said the transition went well.
“We were very well prepared, and the spin couldn’t have gone smoother,” Lewis observed.
Chad Williams, president and CEO of QTS Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:QTS) joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview at REITWorld 2015: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the Wynn Las Vegas.
Earlier this year, QTS acquired Carpathia Hosting, a Virginia-based colocation, cloud and managed services provider for $ 326 million.
Williams said the integration of Carpathia is proceeding well.
QTS’s lead executive on the integration is Peter Weber, chief product officer, Williams explained.
David Henry, vice chairman and CEO of Kimco Realty Corp. (NYSE: KIM), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview during REITWeek 2015: NAREIT’s Investor Forum, held in New York.
Henry is stepping down at the end of the year and turning over the CEO position to Conor Flynn. Henry said ensuring that the transition is “easy for the market” has been one of Kimco’s chief goals.
Eric Bolton, chairman and CEO of apartment REIT MAA (NYSE: MAA), joined REIT.com for a video interview at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, D.C. during NAREIT’s 2014 Washington Leadership Forum.
Last year MAA merged with Colonial Properties Trust. Bolton was asked to describe the progress of the merger.
“The process is going very well. We’re well into the integration of the back office systems. We expect to have almost all the systems complete by the time we get to late spring, early summer,” Bolton explained.
