Matt Wokasch, vice president for advisory and consulting with Green Street Advisors, joined REIT.com for a video interview at REITWorld 2014: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
Wokasch offered his opinion on the most influential trends affecting the REIT market in 2014. He noted that management teams of C corporations have been trying to monetize the value of their real estate holdings.
Michael Knott, managing director with Green Street Advisors, joined REIT.com for a video interview at REITWorld 2014: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
Knott offered an assessment of the valuations of health care properties in the current market. Deals that have taken place in the health care REIT sector in 2014 have helped to drive the value of health care real estate assets up “dramatically” and boosted the interest of capital markets in the sector, according to Knott.
Eric Frankel, analyst at Green Street Advisors, joined REIT.com for a video interview during REITWeek 2014: NAREIT’s Investor Forum, held in New York.
Frankel discussed developments in the industrial REIT sector during the first half of the year. Industrial fundamentals have been good for the past few years, said Frankel, noting that the recovery in the industrial sector started relatively slowly when the economy first began to improve about four years ago.
“It’s been pretty smooth sailing,” he observed.
Phillip Owens, vice president with Green Street Advisors’ Advisory and Consulting Team, joined REIT.com for a video interview during REITWeek 2014: NAREIT’s Investor Forum, held in New York.
Owens discussed the trend of non-traditional real estate companies seeking to unlock the value of their real estate.

Iran’s Behdad Salimi has won one gold and two silver medals in the men’s +105 kg category at the 2010 World Weightlifting Championships. Salimi lifted 208kg in Snatch to win his first silver and got his second silver in Clean & Jerk where he performed 245kg. He won the gold medal in Total with 453kg. Salimi is the second Iranian weightlifter after Hossein Rezazadeh to become the heavyweight world champion. The 2010 World Weightlifting Championships is held in the Turkish city of Antalya September 17-26.
