Net Lease REIT Four Corners Looking to Diversify Portfolio

Bill Lenehan, CEO of Four Corners Property Trust, Inc. (NYSE: FCPT), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview at REITWorld 2016: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge.

Four Corners spun off from Darden Restaurants Inc. in November 2015. The REIT operates a portfolio of approximately 440 restaurants located across 44 states.

“We’re in much more of a steady state for growing the portfolio and diversifying,” Lenehan said.

Craig shared his views on interest rate movements and their likely impact on REIT stocks. He stressed that real estate is a long-duration asset class.

“The forward yield curve today implies that five years from now, the 10-year U.S. Treasury rate will be less than 2.5 percent. That’s a very supportive environment for real estate,” he said.

Romano commented on the surprise developments he has seen in the REIT market so far this year. One of the biggest surprises, according to Romano, has been the disconnect between net asset value (NAV) and price performance for core real estate.

Phil Hawkins, president and CEO of DCT Industrial Trust (NYSE: DCT), joined REIT.com for a video interview at REITWeek 2016: NAREIT’s Investor Forum at the Waldorf Astoria New York.

DCT acquires, develops, leases and manages bulk distribution and light industrial properties located in high-volume markets in the United States.

While e-commerce is a major driver of the company’s fundamentals, Hawkins said demand “across all industry verticals is good…frankly, it’s never been better in my career.”

Buller said 2015 has lived up to his initial expectations of being a year with a high level of transaction activity within the REIT industry.  A major reason behind that has been the fact that REITs have been trading at a discount to net asset value (NAV) throughout the year.

Regency CEO Says FFO, NOI Growth Product of Demand, Portfolio Quality

Hap Stein, chairman and CEO of Regency Centers (NYSE: REG), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview at REITWorld 2015: NAREIT’s Annual Convention for All Things REIT at the Wynn Las Vegas.

Regency has posted gains in funds from operations (FFO) and net operating income (NOI) in 2015. Stein cited “robust” demand for space and the quality of Regency’s portfolio as drivers behind the performance. Stein also noted that the company’s occupancy rate now sits at north of 96 percent.
