Chris Volk, president and CEO of STORE Capital Corp. (NYSE: STOR), joined REIT.com for a CEO Spotlight video interview at REITWeek 2016: NAREIT’s Investor Forum at the Waldorf Astoria New York.
STORE is an acronym for single-tenant operational real estate, which is the company’s target market.
Bob O’Brien, partner and U.S. real estate services leader at Deloitte, joined REIT.com for a video interview during REITWise 2015: NAREIT’s Law, Accounting and Finance Conference held in Phoenix.
O’Brien discussed the rise in Chinese foreign investment , as well as the possibilities for a REIT regime in China.
O’Brien noted that Chinese investment in the United States has increased about seven-fold in the past five years, and real estate accounts for a significant portion of that growth.
Tim Pire, managing director with Heitman, joined REIT.com for a video interview at NAREIT’s 2015 Washington Leadership Forum.
Pire said he remains optimistic with regard to prospects in the lodging and suburban office markets. The lodging sector is benefitting from continuing improvement in the economy and limited supply, Pire said. Corporate earnings reports and forecasts for 2015 have also been positive, he noted. Suburban office, meanwhile, has benefitted from the expansion in employment, Pire said.
