I graduated from UW-Whitewater in May 2010 Slide 3: What is MLG Commercial? Jenna: We’re actually called NAI MLG Commercial, and NAI is an affiliate company. So there are NAI’s all over the world, but every company is owned by a different person. That’s how NAI MLG Commercial got started. MLG Commercial also has different entities such as development, advisors, we have a management, but I just work for the commercial side. So I work for all of the brokers and we sell commercial real estate. Slide 4: How important is social media with your company? Jenna: We do blogs, we have a Facebook account as well as a Twitter account. Our company would survive without social media because within the commercial real estate business people really aren’t detail oriented, but it does help a lot to get ourselves out there via blogs and Facebook; and I know a lot of our clients go on there and look for information and stuff like that. So social media always helps and it’s also very cost effective for us. It’s a way to advertise our company and the listings that we have without putting out many advertisements. She uses the tactics that she learned at UW-Whitewater on a daily basis to complete her work. As for advice on how to get a job out of college; make sure you stand out from other people. Make sure the company hears your voice and you are heard.

  25. The fact that she graduated last year and she is already on the right path with her job is really cool. I love how she is already involved so much in her company. It gives me the motivation to start off early. The way she talks about being in charge of social media sounds easy and effective. Her job seems like a lot of work but im sure she loves what she is doing!
